Growing up in a city that was close to the beach made it very easy for me to be fascinated by the ocean and all of the activities it has to offer. I love any activity that revolves around water especially surfing, bodysurfing, spear fishing, and scuba diving. After living in San Francisco from 2008-2012 I was introduced to rock climbing and have since been enjoying the sport. I also love creating ART. I am extremely fascinated by the ever changing art world and the people that make it go round. I enjoy going to museums to learn and be influenced by other artists.
As artists, we contend with the novel and continuously dip into the imaginative universe of our minds in hopes of creating art that holds a transcending experience. We are constantly testing the boundaries of the unknown, which shines through our works. I feel fortunate to combine the two things that I love most: art and teaching. My love of art helps me be an educator passionate about teaching in positive ways conducive to students' future endeavors in our communities. Art has an impactful effect on humanity because it's a universal language. The economic value of societies that consider the arts an essential factor in their civilization is incalculable. I plan to use the fine arts to build understanding across cultures and help guide our younger generation toward fostering a compassionate and strong society in the foreseeable future.
